Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Firm and Proposals to its Improvement

The Bachelor’s thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation of the company ASD-ML, s.r.o. in the time period of 2009 - 2012. The aim of this study is to evaluate the current financial situation of the company and suggest the necessary steps to improve the situation. The first part will focus on theoretical knowledge, which will explain the basic terms and methods of financial analysis. The second part contains information about the selected company. At the conclusion there is reviewed the company’s general financial situation and recommended the procedures for the improvement of company’s financial situation.

Evaluation of the Company´s Financial Performance Using Benchmarkingu Approach

The master’s thesis deals with evalutation of financial performance of company through benchmarking. A firm AQUA PROCON, Ltd. operates in field of designing and engineering activities with a focus on water management constructions. Business in this thesis is analised from two points of view. The first one is comparison with a specific field according to CZ-NACE M-7112 – Engineering and another technical consulting. The second one is company‘s performance compared to chosen competitors. The aim of analising both views is to find weak spots and suggest solutions, which will lead to improvement of performance and stability of the company on the market.

The goal of this thesis is appreciation financial health of chosen company based on the analysis of financial statements. The thesis includes theoretic and practical part. Theoretic part is intent on description methods financial analysis. In practical parts is given to theory apply to company SATT Inc. At the close thesis are mentioned record financial analysis benchmarking summary and proposals that the firm in years to come will help improve pertinent bad financial situation.

Financial Analysis of the Selected Firm

This thesis focuses on the evaluation of the selected company’s financial situation in the years 2007 - 2011. It details methods of financial analysis and their application in the selected company, assesses individual indicators and identifies shortcomings. Based on these findings, there are proposed measures in area of outstandings and liabilities, liquidity, productivity and profitability that will lead to rectification of deficiencies and preservation of financial stability and the financial health of the company.
